Circular Motion - A journey of self-discovery

Circular Motion

Using drums and drumming as the delivery platform, Circular Motion is a one hour workshop that is part education, part exploration & self-discovery, part entertainment and most importantly, all parts fun!

It allows participants to break though their personal barriers by gently pulling them out of their shell to look at and experience their environment in a totally new way.

This is especially helpful if they have issues with shyness, social awkwardness, and inhibition.

It has been well documented that these character traits often prevent people from excelling and achieving their optimum productivity potential both personally and professionally.

It's more than just a drum circle!

Just imagine how much additional creativity we could tap into if we could only free ourselves from ourselves - no inhibitions!

Circular Motion provides high impact team building and bonding through drumming circle sessions. We use drums and rhythm to focus on the principles of leadership development, interactive teamwork, and out-of-the-box thinking.

Kevin will empower your team by combining fundamental communication skills with his unique methodology. Each percussion and drumming workshop is tailored to meet predefined objectives that deliver tangible results with surprising impact.

Circular Motion is a fun, creative way to strengthen and enrich your corporate team, open new doors to their collective and individual creativity, and relieve the typical stresses that tend to build-up in a corporate environment.

Through a series of stories and performance demonstrations Kevin first teaches his audience the basics of creating and hearing rhythm. He demonstrates to the audience a whole new way of hearing and seeing the world around them differently.

Next, assorted rhythm and percussion instruments are distributed to the audience.

Kevin then leads the audience in the participation of a drum circle. It starts with a basic rhythm and evolves into whatever direction the audience decides to take it in. The result is a lot of fun as people begin to listen more closely to one another and begin to work together to create new rhythms. The intent is for everyone to “free themselves from themselves” and bring out their true creativity and emotion.

It is truly chicken soup for the corporate soul! You will be surprised at what an hour's worth of "brain candy" can do for the morale, the spirit and the overall corporate culture of your business.

From a business standpoint: this is one of those priceless intangibles that can not only improve the performance of your staff but the overall corporate culture and environment especially if your business suffers from morale issues.

If people can leap over these often self-imposed barriers they have the potential to become even better performers.

From a personal standpoint: understanding the rhythm of life and conquering their shyness through this new self-awareness will help to make them more socially comfortable and personally confident.

One of the key components of Circular Motion is the inter activity that is incorporated into it. The audience actually becomes the event.

Through a series of stories and performance demonstrations Kevin first teaches his audience the basics of creating and hearing rhythm. He demonstrates to the audience a whole new way of hearing and seeing the world around them differently, and then he teaches them how to join in and participate.

The result is a lot of fun as people begin to listen more closely to one another and begin to work together to create new rhythms. The intent is for everyone to “free themselves from themselves” and bring out their true creativity and emotion.

By way of demonstration and participation, Circular Motion becomes a drum circle, a history lesson, a study of basic communication, and an outlet for creative self-expression. By helping them to see and hear their environment differently, Kevin helps participants to bring body, mind and spirit together.
